How is Closed Rhinoplasty Surgery Performed?
Closed rhinoplasty is performed under general anaesthesia and small incisions are made on the inside of the nostrils. Closed rhinoplasty usually takes 1-3 hours; the duration of the procedure may vary according to the needs of the patient. After the operation, tampons and splints are applied to the nose, which are removed within 1 week. Although swelling and bruising are initially noticeable, they decrease within a few weeks and the results are completely settled for up to 6 months.
