Dietitians usually gain expertise by undergoing a specific training process after completing a nutrition and dietetics undergraduate programme. During this training process, they acquire in-depth knowledge in subjects such as nutritional science, human physiology, metabolism, dietetic practices and health policies. The basic skills required to become a dietitian include analytical thinking, effective communication, empathy and problem solving ability.Dietitians gain practical experience through internships after their education process and participate in various practices in hospitals, clinics, nutrition centres or sports clubs.
